SIGNAL FLOW
For the performance Signal Flow, the belly listens, a finger plucks the collarbone, vibrations are passed through the skin. A sound wave goes up and down, different each time, each time finite. How does what is occurring make itself heard or seen— how does the body let itself be read? Resonance transceivers and microphones make the space of a belly audible through contact. These ceramic sound objects, are both clay and body this time. Vibrations captured by water, flow into a rounded bowl, and are held on hands. - Written from the belly together with Céline Mathieu
